Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor as well as a performer. The parents of Kristen Bell include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. She was raised and birthed in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen realized her potential in the world of entertainment at a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in television and newspaper commercials. In the same year Bell also started private acting lessons. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role as Dorothy. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and only the credits display her. Bell was seen together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
