Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexual identities with a funny twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she had the opportunity to perform a variety of tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She performed on the trumpet. In addition to classical and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. She didn't start focusing on music until after she graduated. Her song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also included songs that were viral such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour the city of New York Bitche$. The song was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. Alongside being a published author and a singer, she was also a professional as a singer. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored several notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released In Fina We Trust.
