Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents welcomed Bella in the Philippines, on February 9, 1997. Her grandmother was living in slums with her biological parents up to 3 years of age. Then she was adopted. Her adoptive parents are both Filipinas, and her white American adopted dad is an army background. She has claimed she and the adopted brother that she was with were subject to abuse by their adoptive family members from when she was young until the time that she joined the military. For the purpose of moving to Texas after she reached thirteen, her family resided for some time in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. She says the physical violence stopped within a couple of months but that she continued to suffer from psychological abuse by her father. Within 18 years she joined an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch started her TikTok profile in April of 2020. Within a short time, she had more that forty million followers. The account was home to a variety of videos. But her most enduring success was a music video featuring MillieB's viral track Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most viewed videos. The video was zoomed-in to show her dancing rhythmically, while lip-syncing to the tune went viral. When she joined TikTok, she created an account on YouTube and a YouTube account and an Twitter account to increase her fame. The adulation of Poarch's growing fame reached its peak at the end of December in 2020. She reportedly piqued the interest of two major professional Esports teams. 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan expressed interest in hiring her as a content creator under the respective brands.
